Lawrence started Hanz-On Pro in early 2006, first working independently, and now with a team of skilled professionals to keep up with demand. His design career started in graphic design, progressed to three dimensional design for trade show exhibits, and ended in the film industry as an art director and production designer in Vancouver, Canada. In that capacity, his job was to conceptualize, draw, coordinate, and supervise construction crews and painters to create the perfect illusion for film and television. This experience, along with a lifetime of fix-it and remodeling skills, are what he brings to his work as the owner of Hanz-On Pro. In his free time, Lawrence is developing film editing skills.

KC McQuire, handymanKC McQuire, handyman

After Lawrence, KC was the first Hanz-On Pro field employee. He’s been with us since 2014 and handles most of our fence building and repairs, small drywall repairs, furniture assemblies, picture and TV hanging, vinyl flooring installations, exterior trim repairs, and many other tasks. You might see him driving the Hanz-On Pro F-150 pick-up truck around town (he’s the one with the ladders!) Off-hours KC plays on a local softball team.

Kate Scheppelman, handywoman

Kate’s been with us since August, 2018, first as a subcontractor and now as an employee. Kate started out roofing and painting for her first job during summers. After high school graduation she served in the military for 8 years, and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2010-11 as combat military police. When she returned home she worked on full remodels, flipping about 5 houses a year and building her skills in tiling, assembly, drywall, electrical, plumbing, painting, siding, and more. On her off-time she enjoys working on her physical fitness, off-road riding, writing and sketching.

Margaret is Lawrence’s sister and joined him in 2013 to build a website, establish bookkeeping standards, organize the office, and perform customer service, scheduling, and marketing. She arrived with previous office administration experience. Her background also includes technical writing and training in Silicon Valley during the ’90s, and, more recently, academic editing. With Lynn’s arrival (see below), she has focused more on accounting and special projects. When she’s not in the office, Margaret loves to spend time with her young granddaughter and keep track of the current political news.

Lynn Dalton, customer service

Lynn joined Hanz-On Pro in November 2018 to work with Margaret in the office and carry out customer service and scheduling. She has spent most of her work life in healthcare and as a paralegal, but grew up watching and helping her father build homes in Iowa and Colorado. She does most of her own handyman work at home and therefore brings a great deal of knowledge to the job by asking pertinent questions, giving advice, helping customers think through solutions to problems, making referrals to other service professionals, following-up via phone or email, and making sure customers’ needs are matched to our best employee or subcontractor so the work gets done efficiently and well. For fun, Lynn loves to work in her garden, make beautiful dreamcatchers for sale locally, and volunteer for Hope House of Colorado.
